Project Scope
Conversion of MLB Baseball field to MLS Soccer training field.
Description of Work
We were contracted by Orlando City Soccer Club to convert the existing MLB Baseball field into MLS Soccer Training field. The facility was a complete site redevelopment.
Drainage and Site Work
For the drainage we installed perforated pipe and tied into the basins. We use our specialized equipment to lasergrade the entire field and then installed geotextile fabric.
We supplied and installed flat pipes and trench for additional drainage and installed stone base. For the demo, we removed the backstop and fencing, excavated the field, installed concrete and nailer boards.
Turf Field Conversion
For the artificial turf field conversion, start with installing silt fence and creating a safe construction site entrance per the customer’s approval. For the artificial turf, we supplied and installed specialty turf with rubber and sand infill. For the demo, we removed the backstop and fencing, excavated the field, installed concrete and nailer boards.
